We are so glad that you are interested in our education program at Butler Community College. Butler offers education classes that are like being part of a family. Instructors know your name and students know each other's names. You will have the advantage of attending small classes with instructors who are readily accessible and available outside of the classroom. In our education program, you will gain awesome field experiences in K-12 classrooms. This means you will learn in the "real world" through hands-on activities that allow you to spend extensive time in K-12 classrooms observing teachers and students, developing lesson plans with in-service teachers, and teaching students using up-to-date technology in actual classrooms. You will leave Butler's education courses with the confidence and power to realize your dream as a capable and effective teacher. And Butler students are carefully advised so they will have a smooth transition to wherever they go next. We have secured strong transfer agreements with four-year teacher education programs across the state so that no matter where your future takes you, your coursework will go with you! We can't wait to help you fulfill your dream of becoming a teacher who changes lives.
