Secretary to the Dean, Fine Arts & Communication

Full-time

Responsible for the management of the office which serves the Fine Arts and Communication Division Dean.  Hires clerical staff for this office and the Fine Arts Gallery.  Coordinates all clerical work for seven to nine part-time student workers who provide support for the office, Fine Arts coordinator, lead instructors and faculty. Required Knowledge and Skills: supervisory and secretarial experience; excellent public relations and communication skills, both oral and written; ability to keep office information confidential is essential; knowledge and ability to teach office procedures and secretarial skills; knowledge of accounting procedures; composure of work under pressure of deadlines; must be able to interact professionally and effectively with community, faculty, administration, staff and students; an understanding of the educational process; thorough knowledge of computers and word processing, spreadsheet, data base management, and accounting software. Required Experience: experience working with an administrator in an office setting; experience as an office manager or supervisor; experience working with the public; computer experience using word processing, database, spreadsheet, and accounting software; experience in composing and sending e-mail and in using the Internet; experience in keeping financial records. Substitute Teacher, Educare

This part-time position’s responsibilities will include the care, safety and will-being of all children in the group. Will also be responsible for carrying out activities. Must be able to communicate with parents, co-workers, volunteers and children. Must be able to maintain a positive discipline, attitude and manner. Assistant Floater Teacher

Responsibilities of the part-time Assistant Floater Teacher will include the care, safety and well-being of all children in the group. Must have a good understanding of infant/toddler growth and development. Must be able to meet the social, emotional, physical and developmental needs of individual infants and toddlers. Must be able to maintain a safe, clean environment. Must have general knowledge of nutrition, health and first aid. Prior experience working with very young children required. Associate’s degree in child development or its equivalent (30 credit hours of early childhood classes) preferred. Agriculture Instructor

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

The Agriculture Instructor will need the background to teach a variety of core Agriculture courses with emphasis in animal science curriculum. Prospective candidate must be skilled in a variety of instructional techniques and technologies with a willingness to adapt to future online course work needs. Prospective candidate must be forward thinking in new and innovative agriculture programs. The Agriculture Instructor will need the background to teach a variety of Agriculture courses. Candidate should have an understanding of the principles in the area of animal agriculture, crop production, swine management, be a well-rounded livestock evaluator, breeding/reproduction, as well as future markets to farm and ranch management. Applicant will also be asked to assist in recruitment efforts and in cultivating relationships with youth programs, livestock breeders and businesses. DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

The part-time Test Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of test administration in the Butler of El Dorado Testing Center. This includes organizing, securing and administering tests while maintaining an environment conducive to fair and accurate testing of students. The person employed in this position will be responsible for management of clerical tasks related to testing, test record keeping, test appointment scheduling, security of testing files, testing conditions, and confidentiality issues as it relates to placement and academic testing. Accommodation Specialist, Disability Services

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

Position serves as paraprofessional assistant to the Director of Disability Services to provide supportive services for students with disabilities. Shall be responsible for assisting students with class assignments, study skill development, and testing in academic/vocational courses. (28 hour per week position). Freight Handler/Courier

DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS:

The part-time Freight Handler/Courier is responsible to the Technical Services Supervisor for duties involving freight. In the absence of the Technical Services Supervisor, the position will report to the Facilities Management Office Secretary. As freight handler/courier, the position is responsible for the unloading and processing and stocking of freight. The position is responsible for maintaining all freight that is delivered to Facilities Management. In addition, the position will act as a courier to off campus sites as needed. Must be willing to work overtime as needed if schedule permits. Must possess computer skills, and be able to lift heavy boxes repetitively, able to operate hydraulic loading dock and be able to drive large vans and trucks. Must also be qualified to drive college vehicles. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
