Designing and Developing an Online Course is a 6 week course offered by the Instructional Technology Department to faculty who are developing a new Butler Online course. This course requires approximately 30-contact hours for completion. All faculty members (full time and adjunct) who complete the DDOC workshop will be paid $500. PDP Prerequisites for admission to Designing and Developing an Online Course:
Successful completion of this online course is required if you plan to develop a new web course or a new blended course for Butler Community College. This course is delivered completely online using ANGEL – the course management system Butler uses for all online instruction. Each session is limited to 20 “students”. You will not have to meet face-to-ace. All work may be conveniently completed in your office or at home. Activities are assigned for each unit but may be completed on your time schedule. Mid-week and end-of -week deadlines do apply to unit assignments. The purpose of this course is twofold:

This is a project-oriented workshop. When you have successfully completed this course the first four weeks of your course will be complete. The Instructional Technology Department offers the course 3 times per year:
