Advance Kansas Teen Camp

Make plans now to experience an intense, interactive and fun three-day challenge! Advance Kansas Teen Camp is for high school students interested in making their schools and communities better. You’ll be challenged through action learning and team-building activities including Butler’s Grizzly Adventures Challenge Course.

When & Where is Advance Kansas Teen Camp?

Advance Kansas Teen Camp will be July 29, 30 and 31. Camp will begin and end at Butler of Andover. You’ll travel to Butler of El Dorado in a college van and spend two nights in a residence hall on Butler’s campus in El Dorado.

Who Can Attend?

Advance Kansas Teen Camp is for students entering 10th or 11th grade in the fall who can answer yes to these questions.

  • Are you interested in experiencing and gaining a greater awareness and appreciation of diversity?
  • Do you want to get acquainted with students from other schools and communities?
  • Can you attend the entire camp session?

What Does It Cost?

This year camp is free for everyone. (The actual cost is over $800 per person.) If you are chosen to attend, you get three fun-filled and challenging days, seven meals, two nights in the residence hall, a T-shirt and a commemorative photo at no cost to you!

How Do We Apply for Advance Kansas Teen Camp?

Complete an application form and return it by email to advanceks@butlercc.edu, or by mail to Advance Kansas, Butler Community College, 715 E. 13th Street, Andover, KS 67002. Applications will be accepted until the session is filled. Apply early! Space is limited and first consideration will be given to those who apply before Friday, June 6.
