About Internships

Internship Definition - Students may observe or explore a career field of their choice. Internships are for a specific period of time and may serve as a precursor to professional employment. Before enrolling, the student must secure an internship in a related field.

Credit earned through Internships satisfies elective credit requirements in most Butler programs of study and is accepted by many area schools and colleges. Some programs require an internship. See Required Internships

  • Work 100 hours for each internship.
  • Complete academic assignments related to their internship or career goals.
