10 Steps to Successful Internship


  1. Secure Internship (Contact Career Services at 733-3294 if assistance is needed)
  2. Enroll in Internship
  3. Contact Internship Office at dsmoot@butlercc.edu or 218-6211 and complete Student Data Sheet
  4. Pick up Free Portfolio (Textbook) from Advising or Internship office
  5. Contact Faculty Coordinator (ask Internship office for name and phone number)
  6. Set up time for Faculty Coordinator, Work Supervisor and Student to meet and set Training Plan Goals for the work site. Meeting generally lasts about one hour.
  7. Complete Work hours. Must work 50 hours for each credit.
  8. Complete homework in portfolio
  9. Accomplish goals on Training Plan
  10. Submit final portfolio to Faculty Coordinator
