Your Butler ID is your library card. Community members may register for a library card with valid Kansas Driver‘s license or ID. You may check out a total of 10 items at a time, with a maximum of 5 DVDs in the total.

Yes, if not on reserve by another person: items may be renewed one time. You may contact a librarian or staff member to renew for you at (316)322-3234. Or renew online by creating a personal library account using your Butler ID number on the library online catalog.

The user is responsible for lost or damaged items. Charges include the replacement price of the material, plus a $10.00 processing fee for each item. Magazines have a $5.00 processing fee added to the price. Holds may be put on the student's college account for overdue items at the end of each semester by Accounts Receivable.
Library books may be placed in the drive-up book drop located in the West Parking Lot M. Or you may return items to the circulation desk in the library. Items may also be returned to other Butler sites.
