First - Verna Abercrombie (recipient of $100 BCC bookstore gift certificate)

Verna worked diligentley to represent Butler Community College by organizing a booth for Andover Trick or Treat Street, which was a great way to expose Butler Community College within the Andover community! Thank you Verna !

Second - Mary McMackin (recipient of $75 BCC bookstore gift certificate)

Mary McMackin has been scheduling training sessions for Behavioral Science Dept. faculty. She has compiled e-mail lists of faculty who use software and coordinated training with textbook company representatives. She has also volunteered to attend all of these training sessions herself to help instruct Butler Faculty on how the use of software can enhance student learning. These training sessions are scheduled during evening hours as well as times when faculty are not typically scheduled to be on campus. Mary's efforts reach well beyond her classroom and she is deserving of this recognition.

Third - Teresa Mayginnes (recipient of $50 BCC bookstore gift certificate)

Teresa was instrumental in getting Butler's Student Food Pantry started! While the library simply offered space at first, the organization of how the food was to be distributed fell to Teresa. She conceived of system to track distribution and at the same time make the use of the food pantry convenient and private and easy. She also helped with research into preferred foods and into regulations with the State Agricultural Agency. Her thoroughness and desire to serve has got the food pantry off to a great start.

Fourth - Norm Cornell (recipient of $25 BCC bookstore gift certificate)

This fall, Norm Cornell helped the Advancement Division with AV at two high-profile community events at off-site locations and outside of his routine work schedule. The Mid-America Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita on an evening in October. The Diversity Awards Breakfast was held at Abode Venue early on a morning in November. Norm worked with our staff prior to each event to test presentations on the computers being used at the events. He transported and set-up equipment and managed AV which included multiple PowerPoint presentations and sound at both events as well as video for the Hall of Fame Ceremony. Norm helped Butler look our best at both events and enabled us to
