DIRECTIONS FOR FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION FOR DEGREE
When applying for a degree with Butler Community College, please complete the following steps:
Pick up an Application for Degree at any Butler Community College location If you have college hours from other institutions, make certain they are on file in the Registrar's Office. See an Advisor to have a degree check completed Use the degree check form to help you complete the Application for Degree. Attach the signed and dated degree check form to the completed Application for Degree. Return the Application for Degree by the indicated deadline to any Butler Community College Location along with a $25.00 fee.
An Application for Degree turned in with any of the above steps incomplete, will result in the application being returned to you and not considered for graduation.
FINAL DEGREE/DIPLOMA INFORMATION
When the semester ends and all grades have been turned in by the faculty, a final degree check will be completed. If all your records are in order, the graduation notation will be added to your transcript within 2-2 1/2 weeks and you should expect to receive your diploma within 4 weeks, provided that all financial obligations are taken care of. (If a discrepancy is found on your record during the final evaluation, you will be notified by letter within 2-2 1/2 weeks. )
CEREMONY INFORMATION
One college-wide ceremony is held each year in May in El Dorado. If you mark on the Application for Degree that you are planning to attend, you will receive additional information about the ceremony early in April. Invitations may be ordered from the bookstore.
