Enrollment Checklist
  • Have not applied for admission to Butler before.
  • Complete an Application for Admission
  • Fill out and send in a Scholarship Application following your sixth semester of high school.
  • Apply For Federal Financial Aid
  • Have your final/official high school transcript, GED, other college transcript(s) and/or military credit sent to:
    Butler Community College
    Attn: Registrar
    901 S. Haverhill Rd.
    El Dorado, KS 67042
    • Electronic Transcripts should be emailed using a secure electronic exchange from your high school, college, or other educational institution to registrar@butlercc.edu.  Transcripts emailed from the student are not considered official and will be used for advising purposes only. 
    • Failure to have your final/official transcripts sent to Butler may result in the loss of financial aid and ability to graduate.
  • Please bring a copy of your ACT test scores when you come to enroll with an advisor. Depending on scores and high school grades, you may need additional testing. For Advising hours of operation, please contact:

    • Butler of El Dorado, 901 S. Haverhill Rd.,  316.322.3163 or 733.3163 from the Wichita/Metro Area
    If you have not taken the ACT, please contact Advising regarding placement testing. Placement Testing Study Guides are available. The test takes approximately 2 hours and is $15.00. You will need to bring a photo ID. Time permitting, when you are finished testing you will be able to meet with an advisor to discuss your test results and get enrolled.
    (Students seeking accommodations on placement testing and in the classroom must provide documentation to the Office of Disability Services PRIOR to testing. Failure to provide documentation of a disability may not constitute a reason to retest. For more information, please call the Office of Disability Services at 316.322.3321.)
  • If you are a first-time, full-time student we highly recommend you meet with an Academic Advisor in person for your first enrollment. You must enroll in OR 102 Student Connect (orientation).
  • You can use pipeline@butler to enroll online, add/drop classes, make payments, check your grades, etc.
  • Enroll on Pipeline or turn in your enrollment form at Registration.
  • Pay for your classes or set up a payment plan at Accounts Receivable.
  • Get a Parking Permit if applicable.
  • Get a Student ID card.
  • Purchase your Books.
  • Start Classes
  • NOTE: Butler of McConnell students must have a Background Check to receive a base pass.
  • Have been accepted to Butler before.
  • Have taken classes at Butler before.
  • Have not applied for admission to Butler before.
  • Have attended another college.
  • Complete an Application for Admission

  • You will receive two emails with enrollment instructions. If you do not receive the emails, please contact Admissions at 316.322.3255 or admissions@butlercc.edu.

      • Complete an International/PR Application for Admission
      • Submit the following documents International Admission Requirement by email to international@butlercc.edu or mail to Butler Community College, International Advising, 901 S. Haverhill Rd., El Dorado, KS 67042
      • Schedule an appointment at U.S. Consulate to get F-1 student visa
      • Make flight plans to Wichita, Kansas (airport code: ICT)
      • Meet with an international advisor upon arrival to Kansas
