Early College Health Sciences Academy

The health care field offers a world of possibilities that is growing and evolving every day. Are you a high school student, wanting to find your place in this exciting and challenging field? Are you thinking about college? Then the Butler Community College Early College Health Sciences Academy (ECHSA) may be a PERFECT fit for you! The ECHSA is a great opportunity to “jump start” your career path and earn college credit while completing high school.

This program is unique to South Central Kansas! It is the only high school program that allows students to become fully immersed in college while attending high school.

Graduates of the Academy can:

• Transfer into a four year university for further studies
  
• Transition into the Butler nursing program to attain the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree and eligibility for Registered Nurse licensure
  
• Gain immediate employment in various health care positions
  
• Continue at BCC in a variety of programs including Pre-Med, EMT, Pre-Vet, Science Education and Medical office support
