Sociology

Sociology is the scientific study of human society and behavior. Sociologists are concerned with how social conditions such as poverty, wealth, crime, drug use, unemployment, revolutions, technology, etc. influence our lives as individuals. They are also concerned with what holds society together and what makes these societies change. If you are interested in understanding how social groups, organizations, cultures, communities and societies work, then Butler's Sociology curriculum will fit your goals. The program is designed to transfer to a four-year college or university.
