OIL HILL READING SERIES
Since its inception in 2001 as a result of a Faculty Mini-Grant, the Oil Hill Reading Series has exposed students, faculty, staff, and ordinary citizens to some of the finest early to mid-career poets in the United States. From National Critics Circle Award-winner Albert Goldbarth, to first book up-and comers such as Mathew Roth and Lise Goett, the Series has provided a venue for poets and audiences to enjoy the work, exchange views, converse, and expand their mutual interests. Once or twice each academic year, the Series brings in a regional or national figure and hosts a reading, book-signing, and reception. The Series readings take place on either the El Dorado or Andover campus, are free of charge, and open to the public. For further information, please contact Dr. John Jenkinson, Series Director, English Dept, Butler of Andover.
