Leadership Studies classes provide opportunities for you to discuss leadership dynamics from a variety of work, volunteer, or military experiences to understand the theory, historical concepts, and skills of successful leaders. You will use many of the concepts taught in other classes in organizational settings from student organizations to business, church, or military situations. The Leadership Studies classes will also incorporate service-learning and the Grizzly Adventure Challenge Course.
Butler Leadership courses are accepted at Friends University (as part of their evening, accelerated leadership program) and others as electives. Also, Butler Leadership Studies credits are accepted as general studies electives at many four-year programs and varying hours of credit are accepted into the Leadership major or minor at some Kansas four-year leadership programs. When in doubt, check with your academic advisor.
