Presidential Welcome
Hello and Welcome!
For more than 90 years Butler has been all about student success, and I am delighted you are embarking on your next “growth journey” with Butler! Our faculty and staff are dedicated to your success and we are constantly challenging ourselves to provide you enriching and dynamic learning environments. Your personal and professional goals are important to us and I know you’ll be in great hands.
Besides the quality in the classroom, we are always seeking valuable partnerships with industry as we want our students to have first-hand access to the industries which interest them. The work the Workforce team does with area companies for apprenticeships opportunities and skilled trades is a perfect example of our connection to industry and of our ability to directly impact the local workforce.
In a few years, Butler will celebrate its 100th anniversary. The work our founders did then still shines and thrives today. As the state’s second largest community college, our commitment to accessible and affordable education for all remains unwavering. At Butler, you’ll find an outstanding, challenging experience that prepares you for greater success in the future and places you on a level of technical expertise that is recognized and valued in the area.
I applaud your resolve for professional growth. Our workforce needs you!
Best regards,
Kimberly W. Krull, Ph.D.

The Workforce group works with area apprenticeships to help round out educational offerings for their skilled employees. The result is a two-year degree from Butler Community College with credit from your apprenticeship.
Our partnerships are part of the college's Corporate Studies program. Butler was one of the first in the state to offer an Associate Degree in Corporate Studies to assist trade school participants and apprentices in obtaining their two-year degree. This degree program is unique as it can be tailored to any industry.
If you are interested in an apprenticeship program or are a union trades worker, please work with your apprenticeship first to get started. Then, complete a free application for admission. There is no application fee. An advisor will assist you every step of the way.
