As a New Student at Butler:

If you are a New Student, follow the steps below to enroll:
Apply for Admission
Students will not need to complete this step if they have attended or applied in the last 2 years
Apply online at ButlerCC.edu/apply
Apply Now or Log In to Your Application Account
Once logged in, create a new application
Once you are accepted, you will receive an acceptance letter and two emails, one with your Butler username/email address, and another with your temporary password

Access Your MyButlerCC Student Portal and Email
Log in to MyButlerCC to access your student portal
Log in to Outlook to access your Butler email
Submit Your Official Transcripts (Recommended)
Request your final/official high school transcript, GED, other college transcript(s) and/or military credit be sent (from the sending institution) electronically to [email protected] or mailed to:

Certain students (VA, athletes, and select Financial Aid recipients) are required to provide all official transcripts to the Registrar's Office. All official transcripts on file will be used in the determination of Financial Aid eligibility
Unofficial transcripts may be used for enrollment/class placement
Placement Testing (Conditional)
Determine if you need placement testing for placement in English & Math by visiting butlercc.edu/placement-testing

If testing, review the study guides at bultercc.edu/advising, select Placement Testing (recommended)
If testing, schedule with Testing Center at [email protected] or call Butler of Andover: 316.323.6245 or Butler of El Dorado: 316.322.3223. You can also schedule testing at our Andover campus online
Bring an official picture ID for placement testing. Allow 3 hours to complete all three sections of the placement test
Students seeking accommodations on placement testing and in the classroom must provide documentation to the Office of Disability Services PRIOR to testing. Failure to provide documentation of a disability will result in accommodations not being in place for your Butler academic needs. Enroll with an Advisor
Walk-ins are welcome at any of our Advising locations or schedule an in-person or remote appointment
Your advisor will review your transcript(s)/test scores, discuss your degree plan, major changes, and assist in scheduling your classes
Bring a copy of your ACT/SAT test scores, unofficial high school transcript (new students), and/or previous college transcripts when you come to enroll with an Academic Advisor
If you are a first-time Butler student you will meet with an Academic Advisor in person or via Zoom for your first enrollment. Your Advisor will enroll you in OR 102 Student Connect Orientation
Apply for Federal Financial Aid (Recommended)
Complete your FAFSA online at fafsa.gov using Butler's code: 001906
Your FAFSA will be sent to Butler in 7-10 business days
View notifications, complete additional requirements, and accept/decline aid in MyButlerCC > Financial Aid

Complete the Scholarship Application (Recommended)
Apply for both Academic and Foundation Scholarships in MyButlerCC > Scholarships
Check your Butler email for offers and instructions for acceptance
Pay Your Bill
View your bill, make a payment, and sign up for direct deposit refunds in MyButlerCC > My Account. For questions, contact Accounts Receivable at [email protected] or call 316.322.3181
Complete by the due date to avoid any late fees
Students using Veterans Benefits should visit butlercc.edu/veterans-benefits
Scholarships may not show in My Account immediately. For questions, contact Financial Aid at [email protected] or call 316.322.3121
Get Your Student ID Card (Recommended)
Your free student ID can be acquired in the Registrar’s Office in El Dorado or Andover,
You must show a current/valid picture ID to get your student ID card
Students are issued a student ID card for each academic year. The card admits them to all college activities and is used to identify those who have contracted for meals at the cafeteria. Your ID is required to make purchases utilizing financial aid and to purchase computer software at the Butler Bookstores, utilize college computer labs, and print on campus. Cards are available as soon as students have registered for classes

Complete Student Connection Orientation
New students will be enrolled in an in-person or online OR 102 Student Connect Orientation. Transfer and Returning students are also welcome to complete to course to orient themselves to Butler Community College
Register with Disability Services (Conditional)
Students with disabilities who are seeking accommodation will register with the Office of Disability Services by providing documentation of a disability for which accommodations are needed and meeting with the office prior to accommodation
The Office of Disability Services assists students with disabilities in establishing specific accommodations to provide equal access in all areas of the student experience. The Director of Disability Services reserves the right to determine the adequacy of submitted documentation.

Housing Application (Optional)
If you intend to live in the residence halls at Butler of El Dorado, submit your housing application at housing.butlercc.edu
A $25 application fee will be added to your account only if you move into a Butler residence hall or apartment
After placement, contracts will be available to sign online and a $100 deposit will be required at contract signing

If you are undecided about your college major, complete the 60 question Career Assessment in Career Coach
NOTE: Butler of McConnell students must have a Background Check to receive a base pass.
