- If you are locked out after Office Hours, you will call the RA on Call at (316) 323-8090 and they will assist you. Please note the following: your first 3 after-hours lockouts are free. After your third lock out, it will be $15 per after hours lock out. This does not reset at semester but does reset every academic year.
- If you lost your key go to the Residence Life Office and they will get you a new key. A $25 charge will be added to your student account for the new key.
Facilities Issues
- If you are having any facilities issues please contact your RA and they will put in a work order for you. Work orders are usually addressed within 1-2 business days unless it’s during a busy period or requires an outside contractor
- If you are having issues with a washer or dryer, please contact your RA. All washers and dryers are serviced by an outside contractor.
Roommate Conflicts
- All roommate conflicts should first be brought to your RA. The RA will first try to mediate a conversation between the residents. If a common ground can’t be found, then the conflict will be brought to either the Director or the Assistant Director.

I want to cancel my contract
- The contract that you sign is good for the whole academic year, not just one semester. If your housing cancelation request is not approved, you will be responsible for the cost of housing for the Fall and Spring semester.
- Only the following reasons are ways to get out of your contract:

- You transfer as a full-time student to a new school (must provide course schedule)
- You are going to live with a parent or guardian within 30 miles of campus (a notarized letter is required)

Break Housing
- The Residence Halls are closed during Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break. During this time, students are expected to go home or find accommodation elsewhere. If this is not possible, residents can fill out a request form. This form will be evaluated by the Director and Assistant Director and then the student will be notified on whether or not they may stay on campus during the designated break.
Room Change Requests
- During the first 2 weeks of the Fall and Spring Semester, no room changes will be made unless deemed necessary by the Director or Assistant Director.
- After the 2 week freeze period, you may request a room change with the Director or Assistant Director and they will decide if they can accommodate the room change based on space. Once granted a room change, you will have 48 hours to move from your current room to your new room.
