Theatre Performance Scholarship Audition Guidelines
In-State Tuition and Books scholarships are available for students involved in Theatre Performance, Technical Theatre, and Front of House management.
To register for an interview, you'll need to fill out a Theatre Scholarship online registration form.
A student applying for a Performance Scholarship needs to submit:
- A resume, including GPA
- Present two prepared, memorized, solo acting pieces (optional: alternative to one monologue, one 16 bar song selection) – not to exceed 3 minutes in combined length
- A cover letter introducing yourself and your interest in theatre
- A recent photograph
If auditioning virtually, upload an unlisted YouTube video of your two acting pieces without editing during the pieces. The video must include your name and must be cropped to be able to see 3 quarters of your body from hip to head. Max duration 3 minutes.
Frequently Asked Question: Can I audition for more than one activity?
Answer: Students may audition for multiple activities, but only one on any given audition date. If you wish to audition for multiple departments, select your "primary" interest for the official audition date, and submit audition requests for the others on different dates or request to be contacted. Students may only recieve one Activity Scholarship.
