In a hilarious adaptation of this classic screwball comedy, egomaniacal Broadway director Oscar Jaffe, bankrupt and with his career on a downslide, boards the Twentieth Century Limited and encounters his former discovery and ex-chorus girl Lily Garland, now a temperamental Hollywood star.  As the train travels between NY and Chicago, Jaffe pulls out all the stops in persuading her to return to Broadway in his upcoming show.  Along for the hysterical, madcap ride are a gaggle of eccentric passengers!

‘Alvin the Alligator’ is back!  The loveable reptile returns to the stage for our annual Children’s Theatres show.  In his previous outings (“Totally Frank”, “Hollywood Daze”, “Band Together” & “Spaced Out”) “Alvin” imparted the lessons of non-judgment, acceptance, loyalty, & self-esteem.  In this new adventure “”Alvin” imparts another classic life lesson.

Jean Anouilh wrote his re-imagining of the classic Greek tragedy in 1944 at the height of the Nazi occupation of France.  The resulting drama was a heartfelt rebel-yell of defiance, exposing the emptiness and inhumanity of totalitarian regimes.  Noted British playwright Jeremy Sams has written an incisive translation of Anouilh’s text that examines conflicts of family versus state, moral conviction versus national law, and individual responsibility versus communal harmony. This adaptation of the Sophocles classic is a thought provoking evening in the theatre.
