Participants from Butler’s Mass Communications program recently competed in the annual Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) Student Production Awards. The awards were presented during a KAB Student Seminar on April 5 at Emporia State University.
Students had the opportunity to submit work produced since February 2015. Twenty-three Butler students entered a total of 45 entries in 13 different categories for the contest. Fourteen of these students and one of their advisers attended the April event, which included an awards luncheon, seminars and roundtable discussions with active leaders in the industry, and internship/employment interviews.
Eight Butler students received awards, including one first place winner, one second place winner, and five honorable mentions.
