Butler Community College’s Culinary Program Named One of the Best in the State

Butler Community College has just been named as one of the best schools for a culinary degree in Kansas.

Best Choice Schools awarded Butler second in the state for the school’s culinary program, with Johnson County Community College receiving first place. Factors that determined ranking included training curriculum and industry reputation. Best Choice Schools’ mission is to provide high-quality, well-researched rankings and other resources for individuals looking for information about top quality higher education.

In addition to getting valuable hands-on experience, culinary students get instruction from professionally experienced faculty and learn how to add nutritional value to meals, prepare international dishes, plan menus and manage the various aspects of food service operations. 

Located in East Wichita, Butler’s Culinary Institute was developed with input from a number of the area’s leading chefs and restaurateurs who continue to be involved on the center’s Advisory Board.
