Butler Community College Recognizes its Order of the Gold Graduates
Butler’s Order of the Gold, 4.0’s, honored at graduation ceremonies.
Butler Community College recognized its Order of the Gold graduates during graduation for maintaining a perfect 4.0 grade point average. This honor was established by the college to celebrate outstanding academic achievement by its students. Of the 2017 graduates, 31 were inducted into the Order of the Gold.
The Order of the Gold award was created in 1985 by the Board of Trustees for students who maintain a 4.0 total grade point average. Students who have completed 30 hours at Butler and achieved a 4.0 GPA are honored as Order of the Gold. These students are inducted into Order of the Purple at a ceremony the evening before Commencement and receive a medallion before the ceremony and recognition during the Commencement ceremony.
