High Touch Provided a Paid Internship and a $5000 Scholarship to Outstanding IT Students

High Touch Technologies presented their $5000 scholarship and a paid internship to two Butler students. The recipient of the scholarship is Shawna Scovell of Derby. An internship position in High Touch’s Marketing Department was awarded to Nina Carter of Derby. 

“We’re very grateful to High Touch for the scholarships and internships they provide our students,” said Mel Whiteside, Butler’s Dean of Career & Technical Education. “We are also really proud of Nina and Shawna.”

The executive team of High Touch Technologies was impressed with Carter’s artistic abilities, which were viewed during the scholarship process that led to Carter’s internship.  Through her internship, Carter was asked to come up with a mural to display outdoors for a community event.  The assignment was to include the Wichita flag. Her artwork can now be seen on the wall behind the High Touch Technologies building in Wichita.
