Butler Hosts eSports Event in Competitive Gaming
Butler hosts event for competitive gamers to help generate interest in a college eSports team.
Butler Community College is hosting its first eSports event, an event where teams of video gamers compete in front of spectators. Butler eSports LAN Party will offer games such as Rocket League and Overwatch. Butler hopes that hosting the tournament will help generate interest in a college eSports team.
The event will be held in the Hubbard Welcome Center at Butler of El Dorado on October 28. It will be an all-day tournament going from 11 a.m. – midnight. The cost of the tournament is $30 if you bring your own computer or $25 for a pre-set machine, compliments of Ribbit Computer. There is an additional cost of $5 per participant for tournament play. Gamers need to be 15 to enter. Spectators are encouraged to attend for free.
