Butler's Livestock Judging Team Takes Overall Championship
Butler Community College's Livestock Judging Team brings home another championship win against 25 other teams.
Butler Community College’s Livestock Judging Team had a successful competition at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colo. In January, the team was awarded High Team Overall, High Team Reasons, High Team Cattle, Second High Team Sheep/Goats and Fifth High Team Hogs. Twenty-five teams competed at the show.
Last year, Butler’s 2016-17 Livestock Judging team was titled Team of the Year by the Junior College Coaches Association and the college had one-third of the All-American Awards nationwide.

Cade Hibdon-5th Cattle.
DeLand, Fla.:
Trevor Rosso-9th High Individual Overall, 6th Reasons, 4th Cattle, 4th Sheep/Goats.
Fowler, Ind.:
Kenzie Kretzmeier-2nd High Individual Overall, 2nd Reasons, 4th Hogs, 10th Cattle.
Stephenville, TX:
Tanner Barnes-5th High Individual Overall, 3rd Cattle, 8th Sheep/Goats.
Eagle Pt, Ore.:
Ryan Gifford- Second High Individual Overall.
Page, Neb.:
Miles Stagemeyer-4th High Individual Overall.
