Butler of Andover Hosts Summer 18 ICT Game Jam
Butler of Andover is hosting Wichita's largest game development event. Artists, developers and creators of all kinds are invited. Participants may bring a team (five people maximum), join a team or fly solo. Last year’s event included 16 teams and was comprised of 45 people. There were more than 150 onlookers as well.
This fourth annual event, hosted by Butler of Andover’s Interactive, Digital and 3D Technology department, kicks off at 6 p.m. July 27 and culminates at 4:30 p.m. July 29. Participants are involved in designing games. After the designing stage, doors open to the public from 2-4:30 p.m. on July 29. Winners of the competition are announced at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Most participants prefer to bring their own computer, but Butler has 40 computers available for participants. If a participant opts to use a Butler machine, he/she must bring a USB device for storing game files.
Minors can attend; however, participants under 15 must be accompanied by an attending adult. Attendees between 15 and 17 must abide by regional curfew laws.
