Collision Repair Education Foundation Donates to Butler’s Automotive Collision Repair

Butler’s Automotive Collision Repair Department received a donation from the Collision Repair Education Foundation. The Foundation donated The Equalizer® Black-Ops™ glass tool, worth $600.  The Collision Repair Education Foundation is a national nonprofit and tax-exempt student organization. Their mission is to support collision repair educational programs, schools and students to create qualified, entry-level employees and connect them with career opportunities.

“The Equalizer glass tool will help teach students how to properly remove windshields with top quality equipment,” said Donnie Smith, department chair of Automotive Collision Repair. “This is a huge help for the collision repair program and we appreciate Equalizer tools and the Collision Repair Education Foundation for their support.”

The Equalizer® Black-Ops™ has a compact design, measuring 14.5” in length for easy access to tight areas and more flexibility. It’s also lightweight and has an ergonomic design with a soft grip handle and has less vibration. The kit Includes a blade, blade sharpener, safety glasses, and an instructional DVD.

Butler’s automotive collision repair program offers students the option to obtain a nine-month certificate or a two-year degree. ASE-certified instructors help students receive certification in I-CAR ProLevel1® nonstructural and paint and refinishing. When completing the program, students are ready to enter the workforce.
