Butler Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Wins Regional, International Awards
Alpha Phi Alpha Represents Butler with More Than 15 PTK Awards
The Butler Community College Phi Theta Kappa chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha, was honored with more than 15 awards from regional and international competitions.
Students in the chapter who participated in the regional competition worked hard to earn the Five Star Chapter title, the Most Outstanding Chapter title, Honors in Action award, Yearbook award and the Sister Chapter award with Mu Delta of Kansas City Kansas Community College. Chrissy Baker, Butler’s Alpha Phi Alpha advisor, was awarded Five Star Advisor.
Guilherme De Carvalho Berbel Lozani won second place as a Distinguished Chapter Member in the region. He placed in the top 30 chapters out of approximately 1400 chapters at the international level for this same title. This is one of the highest honors a Butler chapter member has received.
The Butler chapter is part of the region that also won the Regional Award of Excellence and the Regional Award of Excellence in Career Readiness for the Kansas/Nebraska region and at the international level.

INTERNATIONAL
· Guilherme De Carvalho Berbel Lozani (Sao Paulo, Brazil) – Top 30 out of 1400 chapters as a Distinguished Chapter Member
REGIONAL
· Emily Crow (Home School / Wichita, Kan.) – First Place in Achievement in Art Award in the Photography category; Second Place in Achievement in Literature Award in the Creative category and named a Five Star Competitive Edge member
· Guilherme De Carvalho Berbel Lozani (Sao Paulo, Brazil) – Second Place as a Distinguished Chapter Member
· Levi Harris (Augusta High School / Augusta, Kan.) – Third Place in Achievement in Literature Award in the Creative category and named a Five Star Competitive Edge member
· Abdoul Aziz Diallo (Conakry, Guinea) – Third Place in Achievement in Literature Award in the Research category and named a Five Star Competitive Edge member
