Art department presents first group show of the year
“Surfaced” will run from March 5 – April 8
El Dorado, Kan. – The Butler Community College Art Department is hosting “Surfaced”, a group exhibit featuring artwork from seven Wichita-area artists. The show will run from March 5 to April 8 in the Erman B. White Gallery.
“Surfaced” features a wide variety of artworks, including painting, sculpture, pottery, and mixed media from the following artists:
Joseph Rincones
Emily Chamberlain
Angela Rangel
Garet Reynek
Dane Jones
Erin Raux
Antonio Martinez
Each of these artists are based in the Wichita area. Garet Reynek is also an adjunct instructor at Butler who teaches art appreciation.
“This is the gallery's first group show this year, and it's very exciting to be able to highlight the visual and conceptual connections of some very talented regional artists,” said Butler art instructor, Trisha Coates.
A gallery reception will be held on Thursday, March 26 from 6-8 p.m. in the Erman B. White Gallery, located in the 700 Building of Butler’s El Dorado Campus. For additional information about the show, contact Trisha Coates at [email protected] or 316.200.5986.
The E.B. White Gallery is open to the community from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Admittance is free of charge. The gallery will be closed from March 16 - 20 for Spring Break.
