2022 KAB student award winners
Butler students win 15 awards at 2022 Kansas Association of Broadcasters
On March 8, the Kansas Association of Broadcasters (KAB) announced the winners of this year’s Student Production awards. Ten Butler students received 15 awards for radio and television programming created over the past year.
In Kansas, all two-year and four-year programs compete against each other. Butler received seven times as many awards as all other two-year colleges combined and ranked second in the state compared to undergraduate awards received by four-year universities. Over the 25 years the KAB has sponsored a student production competition, Butler has received 104 first place awards, 86 second place awards, and 98 honorable mentions for a total of 292 awards.
The following students in Butler's Mass Communications program received awards from the KAB. Awards were presented at a luncheon held during the organization’s Student Seminar April 7 on the University of Kansas campus. First and second place winners receive custom plaques, while those receiving Honorable Mention take home framed certificates.
