KOCH Recruitment Day Sept. 9
Butler Community College is excited to host KOCH Recruitment Day on the El Dorado campus Sept. 9.
The event provides an opportunity for area high school and college students, as well as members of the public to explore career options and to make valuable career connections with members of KOCH companies.
The day will feature two repeated sessions:
Session 1: 9 a.m. to noon.
Session 2: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A free lunch will be provided from noon to 1 p.m. The event will be held in the Hubbard Welcome Center, 901 S. Haverhill Road in El Dorado.
Each session will include presentations by KOCH recruiters from several KOCH companies, and will offer job applicants, as well as interested students seeking internships, Cooperative Education opportunities and information on potential career pathways, the opportunity to connect and ask questions.
“We encourage those attending to come prepared for the interview,” said Michelle Ruder, Associate Dean of Workforce Development and director of Butler’s Business Education Training Analysis (BETA) program. “Professional attire, resume’ information, and the preparedness to answer various interview questions would be expected.”
Ruder added this is also a great opportunity for students in Butler’s Early College IT Academy as well as other high school students to learn of ways they can access an internship while still in high school.
Information Technology majors are particularly sought after. Engineering, welding, accounting and various other majors are also welcome.
