"Somewhere Else” runs through December 8

Wichita’s Bob Burdette is the newest featured artist at Butler Community College’s Erman B. White Gallery of Art, with a new exhibition titled “Somewhere Else.”

“Somewhere Else” presents a brave new world of paintings and sculpture, inspired by 1960s science fiction comic books and vintage magazine advertisements.

Burdette calls his paintings and sculptures “exaggerations of ideas that repeat themselves in the stories and characters that influence and shape all of our lives. These messages have bombarded me my whole life, in one form or another.”

Burdette’s work can be found at bobburdetteart.com or on Facebook at Bob Burdette Art.
