Butler Students Advance to Compete in National FBLA Conference

Four students place in statewide competition, head to nationals
On February 22, Butler Community College students attended the 74th Annual Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) State Leadership Conference at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Competing against four-year and two-year colleges in various business-related events, four Butler students placed in their categories and qualified to compete at the National Collegiate FBLA conference in Dallas, TX, over the summer.
“Our incredible students competed with dedication and professionalism, and I am beyond proud that they have qualified to compete in Dallas,” said Butler Accounting Professor and FBLA Advisor Janice Akao. “This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and passion for business and leadership.”

Matt Shults – 1st in Emerging Business Issues / 2nd in Impromptu Speaking / 2nd in Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition

Thara Lee Kenmarla Casimir – 1st in Finance Case Competition / 3rd in Emerging Business Issues
WICHITA, KS
Leiloni Langinlur – 1st in Business Ethics / 3rd in Foundations of Accounting / 3rd in Foundations of Finance
