In our pre-med program, you are encouraged to job shadow at El Dorado’s Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, other medical facilities or at doctor’s offices. You'll experience the daily routines of being a doctor in real facilities. These important internships can also help you get your foot in the door for future employment.

We help prepare you for the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) you take in your junior year at a university. The MCAT consists of four parts of chemical and physical sciences, critical analysis, biological and biochemical subject matter, and foundations of behavior.

If science experiments and lab work are your comfort zone, you may enjoy working as a student lab assistant. You can earn money and gain valuable experience at the same time. When you become a lab assistant, you learn to use petri dishes to grow microbes, incubate specimens and care for modern lab equipment. We are flexible with your class schedule and offer positions for the El Dorado campus. Please note available positions fill quickly.
