100 Years of Butler
Help us celebrate 100 years of Butler Community College in Kansas! Butler will celebrate its Centennial in 2026-2027 and we are looking forward to creating an atmosphere of excitement and remembrance around this milestone, which will culminate in our 100th Commencement in May 2027.

Grizzly Gold 5K & 1K – September 26, 2026 at 7:30 a.m.
Join Butler Track & Field for the Grizzly Gold 5K & 1K at the BG Products Veterans Sports Complex. The event highlights Butler's cross country course, the El Dorado Disc Golf Course, and the sports complex.
Centennial Family Day Celebration – October 17, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Join Butler Community College as it celebrates 100 years of excellence, tradition, and community during a special Centennial Family Day Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 17, at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex Stadium in El Dorado. Enjoy food trucks, family-friendly entertainment, farmers market vendors, and activities for all ages. Help Butler commemorate its historic 100th anniversary while enjoying a day steeped in Grizzly pride. At 1 p.m., the celebration moves inside the stadium as the Butler Grizzlies take the field against the Dodge City Conquistadors. Pre-game Family Day festivities are free and open to the public. Football tickets are available online at our official Butler Grizzlies athletics website and may also be purchased at the stadium on game day.
An Evening with Tim Tebow – November 10, 2026 at 7 p.m.
As part of Butler's Centennial celebration and the Butler Foundation's Harold Smith Cultural Series, nationally recognized speaker, entrepreneur, best-selling author, and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will speak at the Butler Community College Gymnasium in El Dorado. The event is free and open to the public, but advance seat reservations are encouraged due to expected demand. Attendees will hear from Tebow during a moderated Q&A session with Pat Strathman, 92.3 ESPN Station Manager and 2024 NSMA Kansas Sportscaster of the year.
Butler Through The Years
If you have any Butler history, the Butler Archives is gladly accepting any Butler memorabilia, documents, photographs, or other ephemera.
These items and other ephemera can be brought to the El Dorado Campus Library in the Hubbard Center/600 Building, or our archivist Ronald Rozzell will be glad to arrange a pick up from you. If you don't want to part with your pieces forever, please send photographs!
We hope to curate a wonderful collection of Butler through the years.
