Butler Lays Groundwork for Floor Covering Boot Camp

Next month, Butler Community College is set to host its first ever Floor Covering Installation Boot Camp, a hands-on training program designed for individuals looking to start a career in the growing flooring industry. This one-week boot camp will be held December 1–5, 2025 at Butler’s Andover campus. 

In a single week, students will gain real-world experience installing hardwood, tile, carpet and other materials under the guidance of industry professionals. The class will prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce by equipping them with the skills employers seek. 

“This program is perfect for anyone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to get into a rewarding trade,” said Jon Cressler, Butler’s interim director of Career and Workforce Education. “Students will leave the course confident, career-ready and ready to contribute to an in-demand industry. They will literally build their future one floor at a time.”
