Section 18004 of the CARES Act provides Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) to colleges and universities to assist with unexpected expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA), was signed in to law on December 27, 2020. CRRSAA provides for education stabilization through emergency funding to institutions of higher education through a second round of Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF II).
